Nurse: A World of Care
|
In compelling photographs and words,
Nurse: A World of Care celebrates the vital and often
invisible work of nurses around the world. With introductions by former
President Jimmy Carter and Marla Salmon, dean of the Nell Hodgson
Woodruff School of Nursing at Emory University, who also served as
senior editor, the book offers a moving portrait of a profession, captured in
stunning detail by photographer Karen Kasmauski and writer Peter Jaret,
frequent contributors to National Geographic.
Nurse: A World of Care arrives at a critical time.
Global health care is in crisis. Nursing confronts urgent challenges.
This book powerfully argues that we must support nursing if we are to
heal ailing health care systems and ensure that nurses will be there
when we need them most.
This book was made possible by the generous support from
The Johnson & Johnson Campaign for Nursing’s Future
and the Lillian Carter Center for International Nursing at the
Nell Hodgson Woodruff School of Nursing.
All proceeds from this book will benefit international
nursing education at Emory University.
