DESCRIPTION: With the continued nursing shortage crisis, it is imperative for the industry to not only look at how to produce more nurses into the field, but also to take a look at the current systems in place. Are there ways to modernize care services so that a nurse can do her job more efficiently while also delivering the same high quality of care?
Dr. Cheryl Jones will address these issues and those of care quality and safety at Emory University's Nell Hodgson Woodruff School of Nursing's annual David Jowers Lecture on Friday, December 10 from 1:00-2:30 PM. Titled "Intersections of Nursing and Health Services Research," the lecture will be held in the School's Alumni Auditorium, located at 1520 Clifton Road on the Emory campus.
Cheryl B. Jones, PhD, RN is an associate professor and coordinator of the Health Care Systems program at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill's School of Nursing. |
