About This Slideshow
This slideshow presents a few of the companies that have come out of Emory's Office of Technology Transfer. Since 1991, when Emory hired its first dedicated technology licensing specialist, the Office of Technology Transfer has made dramatic strides in moving research discoveries from scientists' own laboratories into patents and licensing agreements with established companies, as well as with Emory-created start-up companies. Emory has 250 patented technologies, 85 existing licenses, and a growing number of start-up companies, five of which were founded during the past year.
