As an international leader in HIV/AIDS vaccine research, Emory University has more than 50 scientists focused on developing an effective vaccine for this challenging disease. Research at the Emory University Center for AIDS Research, the Emory Vaccine Center and its Hope Clinic, Yerkes National Primate Research Center, and Emory University School of Medicine ranges from basic research in the laboratory to preclinical studies in animals to human clinical trials to a biotech start-up. The Emory University Center for AIDS Research (CFAR) is pleased to serve as local Atlanta host for AIDS Vaccine 2010, sponsored by the Global HIV Vaccine Enterprise. (See related video.)
