Fred Sanfilippo

Fred Sanfilippo, MD, PhD

In the November issue of this e-letter, I described the ongoing work in planning for new clinical, research, and teaching programs and space across the Woodruff Health Sciences Center and the fact that Emory's Clairmont Campus was one location under consideration for new facilities, in addition to Midtown and the Druid Hills campus. Within the past several days, however, the final analysis of the Clairmont site has shown that it is not viable for relocation of Emory University Hospital and The Emory Clinic.

We continue to run scenario and cost testing for the Druid Hills campus and Midtown locations and will share more information with you as soon as we are able.

We anticipate making a more complete program and facility recommendation to the University Board of Trustees in early June.

Meanwhile, please allow me to express my ongoing appreciation to all of you who work so hard to support our missions in patient care, education, and research and who bring reality every day to our vision of transforming health and healing.
