DEHAAN LECTURE ON HEALTH PROMOTION AND EDUCATION SLATED FOR APRIL 12

Health promotion expert Marshall W. Kreuter, Ph.D., of the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), will present the 10th Annual Virginia S. DeHaan Lecture on Health Promotion and Education April 12 at 6 p.m. in the Alperin Auditorium of the 1525 Building.

Dr. Kreuter is associate director for Health Promotion Policy and Program Development in the Division of Adult and Community Health at CDC.

The lecture honors Genie DeHaan, an outstanding faculty member and alumna of the Rollins School of Public Health who pioneered the development of the school's health promotion and education track. Ms. DeHaan's family, friends and students established the lecture series in 1990 to bring national visibility to the school.

It is free and open to the Emory community. A reception will follow. Parking is available in the 1525 Clifton Road deck. For information, call 727-3739.
