AFRICAN-AMERICAN ADULTS WITH HIGH BLOOD PRESSURE INVITED TO ENTER EMORY STUDY

African-American adults who have high blood pressure and are between 30-60 years of age are being invited to participate in a National Institutes of Health study being conducted at the Emory University School of Medicine.

The study is open to otherwise healthy persons who do not have diabetes and who are taking no more than two medications to control high blood pressure.

All medications, lab tests and study visits will be provided free of charge -- and volunteers who complete the study will receive monetary compensation.

The study involves six visits over an eight-week period to the Emory Hypertension Research Center is downtown Decatur at Two Decatur TownCenter, 125 Clairemont Ave., Suite 410, Decatur. The center is located one block from the Decatur MARTA station and free parking is available.
