WINSHIP CANCER CENTER KICKS OF 1998-99 ELKIN LECTURE SERIES

The National Cancer Institute's director of clinical sciences will be the first speaker in the Winship Cancer Center's annual Elkin Distinguished Investigators Lecture Series. Edison T. Liu, M.D., director of the NCI's Division of Clinical Sciences, will present a lecture titled "Protein Kinases in Breast Cancer" on Wednesday, Sept. 2, at 4 p.m. in the Emory University Hospital Auditorium. The presentation is free and open to the public.

The remainder of the Elkin Lecture Series will include presentations by the following:

Virginia Zakian, Ph.D., Princeton University
