A Look at Teenage Pregnancy and Methods Which May Help Prevent it in the Near Future, Emergency Contraceptive Pills, Performing a Sensitive Pelvic Exam, Depression in Women, Incontinence, Estrogen Replacement Therapy, Infertility, Allergy to Latex and More. A two-day conference for health professionals.

Sponsored by the Department of Gynecology and Obstetrics of the Emory University School of Medicine, and the Regional Training Center for Family Planning.Course directors are Robert A. Hatcher, M.D., professor of GYN/OB at Emory, and Miriam Zieman, M.D., assistant professor of GYN/OB and director of Emory's Family Planning Program.

Oct. 17-18, 1996. Actress Jane Fonda, an advocate for the prevention of teenage pregnancy, will speak Oct. 17 at 12:20 p.m.

WHY:
To provide family planning clinicians and staff, health educators and primary care physicians with updates on: hormonal contraceptives, emergency contraceptive options and long-term sequelae of tubal sterilization and vasectomy; the biology and evaluation of incontinence; the treatment of depression; and condom breakage rates, androgens and reproductive health, and Norplant removal techniques.
