Treating humans, not numbers

I wanted to inform you of the remarkable treatment I received from Dr. Jennifer Zreloff at the 1525 Clifton Road clinic location. Under my current HMO, The Emory Clinic is not an option for medical coverage, an issue I plan to address with my employers. I was a self-pay patient of Dr. Zreloff's in August due to a disagreement in a diagnosis made by my HMO and the HMO's plan of care.

Dr. Zreloff and her staff spent more time with me in one visit than my HMO has spent with me in the last year. I was confused when the staff actually wanted to talk with me about my situation before beginning an examination, not something I had experienced in a medical setting for quite a long time. The type of follow-up care received from Dr. Zreloff and the staff at The Emory Clinic was something that I never would have imagined receiving from a medical provider. Dr. Zreloff replaced my fears with the information I needed to make an informed decision about my health care.

In the world of HMOs and five-minute physician visits, treatment like that received from Dr. Zreloff and The Emory Clinic is unfamiliar. Dr. Zreloff treated me as a human and not as a health record number. I could never thank her enough for her care.
